There are two ways that you can participate in the Scout
Brigade of Fort George. The following is a breakdown of both of
the participation methods. Each section includes costs, and what
you will receive for your registration fee.
Option 1: Full Military Unit (Canadian or US)
Fee: $45.00 Canadian
You will receive all food, plates and cutlery for the
weekend, a Campaign Crest/Patch, a Campaign button and a $1 Fudge
Parade Voucher.
First time Military participants will also get a pewter
membership pin, regimental shako plate crest/patch and a cross
belt crest/patch.
First time officers or promoted officers will receive a
Commission.
You will participate in all aspects of the programme
including the Military Drill on Saturday morning, the Parade
through Town and you will participate in the battle manoevres on both
Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Option 2: Militia (Canadian) or Volunteer
Militia (US)
Fee: $35.00 Canadian
You will receive all food, plates and cutlery for the
weekend, a Campaign Crest/Patch and a Campaign button.
First time Militia/Volunteer participants will also get a
regimental cross belt crest/patch.
First time Officers will receive a
Commission.
You will be taking part in all aspects of the program as
above.
This is the recommended participation method for new troops.
It gives a good opportunity to participate and get to know the
programme and better fits the troop to make a decision regarding
a more long term committment, without going through the time and
expense in making all the equipment and uniforms.
Please note: You can participate as a Militia / Volunteer Unit
for a maximum of two campaigns (years), after which time further
participation is required as a full Military Unit.
